Personality: New into kennels 17/06/09. This special little girl has raced a staggering 200 races! She's healthy and has never had any racing injuries. Doesn't this smashing little lady deserve a happy retirement for many years to come after working so hard?

Pet name: Millie

 

Personality: This little lady needs your help. Millie is 8 years young and has a bit of a sad tale. She has lived happily with someone for 6 years and has had to come back to us, because the lady's grandson has developed an allergy to Millie's fur (this is very rare with greyhound fur). Millie is housetrained, good with children and extremely loving and calm. She is being fostered at the moment because kennel life is not suitable for this charming lady. Millie needs a new permanent forever home - she is fit and healthy and would make a loyal and loving companion.

Personality: Lillan is a quiet, loving little girl. Lillan needs to have a few teeth out - which will be covered by us and done while she is still with us at the Farm. Long term it should have no adverse effect and she'll still be as equally as lovable with a few less teeth.

 

Update 20/03/09: Roy has spent a lot of time on Poppy's teeth and they're a lot better. We are totally confused as to why no one has looked at Poppy - this little lady is going to make such a wonderful addition to any household.

 

Update 6/4/09: Poppy gives the first impression that she is giddy. But when you get her out of the kennel, you will find that she is a little sweetheart, friendly, and affectionate, who just wants to be cuddled.

Personality: These two have been homed together for a few years and unfortunately will be coming back to kennels. This is absolutely no fault of their own: they're more victims of the 'credit crunch' and their previous owner's change of circumstances.

 

At this stage we'd ideally like them to be rehomed as a pair. Please consider giving these two lovely greyhounds a second chance.

 

Update 6/4/09:  Meg and Fletch are like an old married couple and have been with us since xmas. Even though they have such a tight relationship, they are still loving and attentive to the people walking them. We love them to bits, and are desperate to find them a loving home. They do need to go as a pair and ideally with no other dogs.  Please, if you are looking for someone to love, consider these two.

UPDATE 19/1/09

 

Due to the age of Nosey she is no longer available for adoption. But please do not feel sorry for her she has her very own granny flat, and comes and goes as she pleases. She is still, the offical greeter, and enjoys a walk when she's in the mood.

 

Nosey is still our figure head for sponsorship and to keep her in the lap of luxury she is used to, please consider our diva of the kennels. If you dont have the time or the space to own a dog yourself, she is the ideal candidate. You can come up, meet her and take her out for a walk! Our sponsorship payment options are either, A ONE OFF PAYMENT PER YEAR, or a little bit each week or month. Quite a few people opt for a monthly standing order and Nosey is very careful how she spends her sponsorship money!

Racing Name: Pioneer Doll

Pet Name: Ruby

 

Personality: Ruby is still with her owner/trainer and we have the relevant contact details if anyone is interested. As you will see from the write-up below Ruby is spayed and ready for a new home as soon as possible.

 

She is an October 2003 bitch, white and black.  She weighs 26kg.  She is a very happy girl, no nerves, a bit lively, but playful.  She won't live with small animals.  She has been spayed and is just waiting for a good home. She has no racing injuries. Hopefully she will soon find a good home, she is a lovely little girl.

 

FRED is a blue brindle dog who is four/five years old.  He has the most delightful temperament being gentle, affectionate but with a sense of humour!!  He is very obedient (for a greyhound), and will come when called.  He will definately make a fantastic pet, as he is a really fun dog without any vices.  He deserves to be in a family home and he is a very attractive dog weighing about 35kgs.  He is very gentle around children and even likes little pups.  He has not been with cats, so I could not tell you how he would be.  He was not raced, because he injured himself in schooling, but he was keen.  His breeding is Roanokee x Fearsome Grace.
PADDY is the blue dog he is just 18 months.  He is not the least interested in chasing the lure.  He is quite large (approx 35kgs) but is very affectionate.  He is lively as you would expect at his age.  He enjoys attention but is not boisterous.  His breeding is Droopys Vieri x Hesley Gale.  I don't know how he would be with cats, but he is fine with our Labrador.   HOMED

Part of Tex's letter reads: "I really want to find a home. Now that I'm not racing and want someone to share my life with. I am a good dog, clean in the house, and I love going for walks.  I have never bitten or fought with any other dogs and I long to be someones's loyal companion. Please consider me if you want a dog."

Update: Winston, with his little half tail, really does need a new home. He's actually settled relatively well back into kennel life, but this lad deserves to be snoozing in front of your fire at home. The challenge is to come and meet Winston and not fall in love with his quiet dignity and loving personality.

Personality: A really great, gentle greyhound. Boss was fostered for a short time when we had no spare space in kennels and is housetrained and was the perfect house guest. He's been neutered and is ready to be adopted permanently to the very lucky household who gets him.

Terry known as Tez to the kennel staff, is a big dog with a big heart, and just need someone to love.  Terry knows his own minds, and is very aware of what is going on around him.  On entering the kennels you can hear him (Translated) shouting "Come and look at me!!"  If you are looking for a big cuddly companion, Tez would be the right dog for you.    2/9/08   terry has calmed down since his last review  and he has turned into the perfect big lad ... please take the time to pop up and meet him
