The full event list is now on the Events page: if you have any spare time and would like to help out at any of the events listed please don't hesitate to contact us. Volunteer help is essential to us and ultimately our wonderful dogs benefit: we try to ensure you have as much fun as possible, but we can't guarantee the weather will be nice!

September is packed with shows and we'd love to see you (and your lovely hounds) if you'd like to come along and support us. If you don't have the pleasure of a greyhound yet: come along and talk to our staff and volunteers or buy some fantastic RGT merchandise. 

Stop press! Stop press! Re: Swingers' Night 

Unfortunately we've had to postpone our Swingers' Night planned for Weds 22nd September 2010 at Owlerton Stadium.

If you have bought tickets for this evening - all you have to do is pop in to kennels and we'll give you a full refund for them.

We're hoping to host another stadium based event soon and thank you to everyone who supported us. Keep checking the website for updates.

SRGF Annual Dog Show 2010

All your greyhounds and non-greyhounds were all winners on the day and we wish we had a rosette to present to every dog that attended. Our judges had a very hard job choosing and below are the 1st place winners of each class. 4.  Waggiest Tail: Roxy May

5.  Best dog with handler under 14: Max (Lisnakill Franny)

6.  Shiniest Coat: Grace (Newtown Grace)

7.  Most appealing eyes: Emmy (Emmy Charger)

8.  Dog most like its owner: Merlin (Merlins Lad)

9.  Best pair of hounds: Moon and Star (Thundermoon and Thunderstar)

10. Hound judge would most like to take home: Alice (Nervous Alison)

11. Shiniest nose: Phoebe (Inca Peewee)

We are slowly running out of shredded paper for the dogs beds. If  there is anyone out there who doesn't use their paper, we would be grateful for any donations. (A bit cheeky we know, but no cross shredded please)
